I have been engaged in our community all of my life. Co-founded the long-running River & Blues Festival raising money for local charities and student scholarships. President of the Lee/Charlotte County Restaurant & Lodging Association (FRLA) for over 15 years. Served on the FRLA state board in Tallahassee. While President of the (FRLA) our Chapter started many Culinary Art programs in our local high schools, giving the students an edge in the hospitably industry as a pathway into the workforce after high school.
As the Co-owner of a Cape Coral Restaurant, we adopted schools and became community partners with our local schools. I continued to stay engaged with the Lee County Business Community & our Restaurant/Events/ Tourist Industry through my work.
Community: Served as a past member of the Cape Kiwanis Club, the Chamber of Commerce, Women in Business, the Christian Chamber, National Wedding Professionals, Harry Chapin Food Bank, NAACP executive committee, Co-Chair and mentor of ACT-SO students throughout Lee County. Member of the North Fort Myers Civic Association Member,
Education: Served as an advisory for FSW (Edison College) for Hospitality Served as liaison for the Finance Committee and the Equity and Diversity Committee, Served as the vice-chair, and for two years as the Chair. Serve on the board of the Foundation for Lee County Schools, Uncommon Friends, and Horizon Council.
